The Brewers Association is an organization of brewers, for brewers and by brewers. More than 2,000 U.S. brewery members and 43,000 members of the American Homebrewers Association are joined by members of the allied trade, beer wholesalers, individuals, other associate members and the Brewers Association staff to make up the Brewers Association. The Brewers Association was established in 2005 with the merger of the Association of Brewers (established in 1978) and the Brewers Association of America (established in 1942). The unification of the small professional and amateur brewers in the United States merged 90 years of brewing heritage and equity, championing the unique interests of America's small and independent brewing community.
